At Lovely Little Printables, we offer editable Corjl envelope liner templates that you can print and assemble at home. Here’s everything you need to know about using envelope liners, from printing to assembly—plus a little secret about why we love using vellum paper for an extra dreamy effect!
Why Use Envelope Liners?
Envelope liners are a simple but impactful addition to any stationery suite. They:
✔ Enhance the presentation of your invitations
✔ Reinforce your theme or color palette
✔ Add a luxe, professional touch to DIY invites
✔ Protect invitations inside the envelope
Printing Your Envelope Liners
You can print your envelope liners at home or through a professional printing service. We highly recommend printing on vellum paper instead of regular cardstock or paper. Vellum liners create a soft, translucent effect that adds dimension to your invitations, giving them a high-end feel without the extra cost.
What You'll Need:
- Printable envelope liner template (available in our shop!)
- High-quality printer (or professional printing service)
- Vellum paper (or lightweight cardstock if preferred)
- Scissors or craft knife & cutting mat
- Double-sided tape or glue stick
Printing Steps:
1️⃣ Download your customized envelope liner template (Corjl makes it easy to personalize!)
2️⃣ Choose your paper—vellum for a soft, dreamy look, or lightweight cardstock for a more solid effect
3️⃣ Print at home using a high-quality printer or send it to a professional print shop
4️⃣ Let the ink dry completely before cutting to avoid smudges
How to Cut & Insert Your Envelope Liners
Once your liners are printed, it’s time to cut them to size and attach them to your envelopes!
Cutting & Trimming:
✂ Use scissors or a craft knife with a cutting mat for precise edges
✂ Follow the trim lines on the template for a perfect fit
✂ Double-check the size against your envelopes before attaching
Attaching to Envelopes:
📌 Place the liner inside your envelope to test the fit before securing
📌 Use double-sided tape along the top edge of the liner (don’t tape the entire piece—it needs room to move!)
📌 Press the liner firmly onto the inside flap of the envelope
📌 Fold the envelope flap down and press to smooth everything in place
And just like that, you have a stunning, professional-quality invitation ready to impress your guests!
Make Your Invitations Stand Out
Envelope liners may seem like a small detail, but they make a big impact on the overall presentation of your invitations. Whether you choose a mountain adventure scene, a floral wedding liner, or a whimsical party design, this simple DIY touch adds charm and personality to your stationery.
